Mae

Mae is another one of my favorite bands. I have listened to them since I was in 8th grade. Sadly, they have broken up. They didn't end things on bad terms, they are just moving on to different things now. The original line-up consists of Dave, Zach, Jacob, Mark, and Rob. A few years ago, Mark and Rob left the band. Mark was still involved in the recording process, but didn't tour with them. This past fall, they went on their final tour and they were back to the original 5. I got to interview them twice actually. The first time was in 2009 and the second time was this past fall. It was amazing seeing them all back together again but sad at the same time. Dave, the lead singer, has his own studio called Schematic Studios in Nashville. Jacob, the drummer, is actually in a new band called River James.

I am very excited to see what they do in the future. I'm hoping for a Mae reunion at some point. Check out their music video for "Suspension" below. :) It's from their sophomore album "The Everglow"-one of my favorite albums.
