Winters Warm

So, these next few posts will be about the bands that are playing at the 2011 WBWC Spring Concert.  Just some information about the concert…it is a benefit concert for the non-profit organization To Write Love On Her Arms.  If you’re unfamiliar with this organization-it’s about helping people deal with issues like self-injury, addiction, depression, and suicide.  You can find more information about it here: www.twloha.com

The concert will take place in the SAC on Saturday, March 19th and tickets are only $5. If you’re a BW student (which I’m guessing most of you are if you’re reading this blog) then tickets are only $3 with your BW I.D. There are 5 really awesome bands playing: Winters Warm, 70 Lewis, Goodnight City Lights, Call to Attraction, and Call It Fiction.  There will also be raffles…and they’re pretty good in my opinion! So you should all come! Check out the ‘88.3 FM The Sting’ Facebook page for more information!

So..moving on. This post will be about Winters Warm.  They’re an indie/folk/blues band from Cleveland and they’re amazing! I had them on my show at WBWC maybe a month or so ago and they’re great!  They’ve actually played at BW a few times.  I saw them play at this place called The Happy Dog a few weeks ago and they put on an awesome performance.  The interview I did with them will be available on Youtube to watch very soon…so I’ll be sure to include that video in a post.  But for now…I’ll leave you with their music video for “Glasshouse”.
